Membership
Membership for 2026/27 is on sale now. There are two kinds, Social and Team, bought by the term or once for the whole year through the University's membership portal.

Which one is for me? Social is for everyone, beginners included. Team is for people with some experience: you already play padel regularly, or you're a decent tennis player. Not sure? Start with Social and move up to Team any time by paying the difference.
Social
£25 a term
- Play twice a week: club sessions every Friday and Sunday at Smash Padel Oxford. Book your place on our website: £6 a session (£8 for small-group, evening and weekend sessions), balls provided
- Regular coached sessions with Smash Padel's coaches: £8 to £10 a session
- Club socials, including the termly dinner
- Access to club trips and tournaments, paid separately
Team
£80 a term
Everything in Social, plus:
- Coaching every week with Smash Padel's coaches, and Team training: both £6 a session (£8 for small-group, evening and weekend sessions)
- Eligibility for the University squad in the National Universities Padel League, and other tournaments
Squad trials are free and open to every student, member or not. Players picked for the league squad join Team.

A termly membership lasts nine weeks from the day you buy it; buy it again the next term. The whole-year option covers all three terms and is on sale until 1 November. Trinity runs a lighter programme around exams, at a lower price.
On a means-tested bursary? The University's Oxford Sport Student Fund can cover up to £100 of membership and kit. Apply by 5pm on Friday of 2nd week.
How to join
- Open the University's membership portal and log in with your Oxford single sign-on, so that you see the student prices.
- Click your name at the top right, open My Profile, and choose Clubs.
- Under Join Club, choose OU Padel Club and save.
- Then refresh the page. A pop-up lists the club's memberships: choose one, check the details, add it to your cart and confirm the order.
Your membership starts straight away and the portal emails you a confirmation. If the memberships still do not appear after you refresh, email the committee.
Freshers tasters
This term's freshers tasters are full. If you came to one and join at full price by 1 November, we refund your £5. There will be more tasters later in the term, so join the WhatsApp to hear more.
